'Wanna See' Wednesday..
house to see what I had to show. I really couldn't remember what I had, but I found a few. This one above I bought from a fellow
antiquer years ago. He and I would barter and haggle back and forth about each others goodies. I also have the cream and sugar pieces
that go with this. They are cute too!! The stamp on the bottom says 'made in Japan'.
This group is just a hodge podge variety. The tarnished silver plated one sitting up high is from one grandmothers estate, cream and sugar
with this one too. The blue oriental looking one on the left is from the other grandmothers estate, notice the lid missing....as is the case alot of the time. The little bee hive one in front has it's lid gone too. I bought it for .50 cents years ago at a large flea market. The last
one there on the right with the blue leaves has the matching cream and sugar to go along with it as well. All of these say 'made in Japan'
.
I really do like this Wood's Ware/Jasmine made in England. I have a lot of pieces with this. Now which storage tub they are packed away
in I'm not quite sure.
AND.....OOHHH ....AAAUUUHHHH! This one I REALLY like. I know not everyone will like the gold, but over-all I like the design. Parts
of the finish on this has an iridescent or pearlized look to it. I have the WHOLE set of this. Tableware, teacups, tureens....the whole set. Isn't it just so dainty looking?? The set was made in CZECHOSLOVAKIA and has that stamped on the bottom of each piece.
I certainly hope that you will 'Wanna See' more of my treasures next Wednesday. It's so much more fun to show them and share rather than keeping them all packed away and in storage tubs.
****Notice I displayed all the teapots using fabric and quilts.......just keepin' it legal****

Tuesday 'Teaser'...
it will be time to get them in the mail soon AND then we can see all of the creative projects everyone has done. With all the little sneak peaks out there I am very excited to have some REVEALS!!
I've also been 'adding' some items to my stash. About 3/4 of the top portion of this stack I recently ordered from Jane over at Jane's Fabrics. Jane is always so sweet to add a little 'extra' with each order.....like the great little fat quarters sitting there in front of the pile.
Thank you sooo much Jane!! You picked perfect, I don't have many pale blues in my stash and I especially love the hearts and tiny polka dots. I'm also excited that Jane is soon to be a 'Grandma'.....Congrads Jane!!!!
I want everyone to run over and see Mel's wonderfully creative quilt top she did this past weekend. She participated in Pat Sloan's 'Orange Pile' challenge Retreat and I LOVE what she
came up with. Very unique and different Mel...Great Job!!!

SNEAK PEEK REVEAL
Since Gail has sent me such colorful fabrics and not to mention the wildly colorful log cabin table runner she included in one of the packages...I thought..well, she must like color.....SO, here ya go Gail! I decided to cut odd angles and insert irregular sized tiny polka dot strips to add more flare. I like it!
To finish it off I added a tiny label with a sweet little silver crown stitched on it (click to enlarge). The label came from one of my grandfather's vintage ties. I just think it gives it a 'prissy-er' look don't you? On most of the women scarves I try to make a prettier flair to the bottom edge as well, I don't like the just 'blunt' straight across finish. A lot of my scarves do not have batting or any extra thickness added. My scarves are mostly a fashion statement than for extra warmth, but I am surprised at how well they do that too. Where we live we don't get very many snow blowing, sub zero type of weather. So.....there you go Gail...enjoy!!

SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN...
Remember last month when my friend Gail (no blog) sent me a goodie package? Go here to see. Well....she has done it again!
Inside was a fabulous old candy box filled with something better than chocolates......wonderful pink and red valentiney fabrics...isn't this great?
And WOW....I absolutely LOVE this book she included. I want to make every quilt in there!!! And thanks Gail for throwing in this great new issue of Quick Quilts, I didn't have this one. Thank you again Gail for thinking of me, and YES I will try and get busy sewing up some of these wonderful fabrics you have shared with me once again!!!
