For seven years I've wanted to make this quilt!
(that's how long I've had the pattern)
And now I have a reason.
Her name is
NANCY
and
she will be here sometime Tuesday.
One of our employees is having a baby and I thought I had a little more time to do this, but isn't that
how it always goes?!
This is my first block and the others are all prepared and ready for the flowers to be sewn down. It is
just so stinkin' cute in person!
More on this later!
You have plenty of time! This will be so sweet. I don't think she'll mind if its a little late. Just so it doesn't end up being a graduation gift. HA!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a sweet baby quilt! I can't wait to see it all put together! :0)
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute. Can't wait to see the finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it may exceed all the cuteness that is allowed by law!! : )
ReplyDeleteI like this pattern, too. It's perfect for Nancy. Hope you'll get a pic of the project when done and share it with us. Keep stitching!
ReplyDeleteScrappy and sweet! What's not to like? Adorable.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a baby to kick us in gear! lol
ReplyDeleteI had the pattern for ages before I finally made mine, too --- happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteHappy sweet block there. They will make a great quilt!
ReplyDeleteMade mine from the scraps for a bulls eye quilt. It was fun. I invite you to link this to Hexie Weekend (ends Monday, midnight) We love eye candy of any kind. That flower is so cute!
ReplyDeleteGo for it! looks like a pretty start. I recently quilted one of these quilts for my customers.
ReplyDeleteOh what a sweet baby quilt it will be. Seven years isn't a long time - it is just right for "aging" a pattern. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the way the flower takes shape - can't wait to see it all. Lucky baby.
So, so cute!
ReplyDeleteJust saw this post...is that a pat Sloan pattern. Soo cute post more pics when done. Hugs Mary
