HORRIFIED is the best description I can give for what I just went through!!!
I had to mutilate…uh…I mean trim out the corners on these blocks!!!
Oh My Goodness what a STRESSFUL event!!
WHAT….IF…..I….DIDN'T….CUT….THEM….CORRECT??!!
I guess I will know the answer to that question when I pin and sew on these arcs.
I will be holding my breath!!
This cute little bird that is part of the top border for this quilt made me feel so happy and
helped me to calm down from the stress and horror of what
I just went through.
Who knew quilting could be so painful?!
HA!
"Just get over it" some of you say….. and "get on with it you wimp!!!"
I AM!
I AM!
I have a girlfriend who used to call me to come over everytime she finished a quilt. I had to trim the excess away for her, she was so sure that she would ruin it at the last minute !
ReplyDeleteWe're states apart now, I guess SHE had to 'get over it'!
I understand !
Oh my gosh...did I say that out loud? Just kidding....:o))Looking great!
ReplyDeleteP
Know that feeling! What a wonderful block!
ReplyDeleteI completely sympathize. I'd probably have to applique the corners on, rather than cut anything!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I would be timid, too. But looks like you did great!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that as a heart stopping experience! SUCH gorgeous blocks!!
ReplyDeleteI would have been scared to trim anything on that beautiful block. Your inset corners will make it pop more.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending moral support remotely!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was my moral support for some crucial math calculations the other morning :)
Looking sew cute and colorful there! The birdie is sweet
I know I would never get involved in such an intricate pattern. I am in awe of everything you have done with this one!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you did great but I do understand your apprehension!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will turn out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI can sympathize with you. I have a big appliqué quilt I need to trim so I can add the borders and it just scares me to death. I hate to mess it up at this point.
ReplyDeleteOh I know the feeling all to well - the horror - the sweaty palms - the churning tummy - and then it comes out right and I'm happy again. Very pretty block.
ReplyDeleteO.M.G.! I would so be wimpy with you! But it looks like it came out great. Please let us know it all came out right - with a picture? Holding my breath here! *gasp*
ReplyDeleteWhat a totally gorgeous quilt you have going on there!
