Bonnie Hunter over at Quiltville Blog has put up a link for anyone wanting to share their first quilts. She has a great post sharing about her first quilt!
Here is a photo of my first quilt (in the process of being finished). You can go HERE to read all about it. Finish photos also included!
Run over to Bonnie's blog and check out the other quilts......add your link too!
I will go and check out that link. Thanks for sharing it. I think your first quilt looks pretty good! :o)
ReplyDeleteI read Bonnie's story this morning. Your first quilt is much better than mine. Don't even know if I can find a photo of it. Maybe better left buried!
ReplyDeleteGood idea, you did a nice job!
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty nice quilt for a first one. Mine is a lot more scary!
ReplyDeleteLooking good. It is fun to look back at our first quilts. I have had a good laugh about you QUIPs I have more than you do. Trying to come up with a plan for some. Some I will never go back to others need a reason to finish.
ReplyDeleteOH I love that quilt - it is my very favorite kind - and I read all the stories about it - so charming. The binding couldn't possibly be better!!!! It is a winner all around.
ReplyDeleteLove your new banner - makes me in the holiday mood even more.
Love this quilt.
ReplyDeleteLook how neat those corners are! I like working with stripes, so I know you created extra work to get your stripes to turn. This is a great first quilt. Are you joining in on Bonnie's Orca Bay mystery? Boy, I'm itching to....
ReplyDelete:-}pokey
My first quilt was something similiar but turned into a tree skirt. I can't post it because it is still buried in a box....we hadn't started decorating yet.
ReplyDeleteThats a great quilt, I love hearing how it finished. Instead of thinking of it as such a long time, maybe you can think of all the love it accumulated over the years? Love your Basketweave quilt too!!
ReplyDeleteFirst quilts usually have great stories! I don't have a photo of my first quilt--made it for my sister's first baby and can barely remember what it looked like, but was just simple squares. Yours looks way more complicated!
ReplyDeleteThat's not bad for a first quilt! I don't even have my first one. It would be one my mom and I made when I was younger, and it was used so much it wore out.
ReplyDeleteHa! It lays flat. That says a lot. It is a great patchwork. My first was patchwork too.
ReplyDeleteI think your quilt looks beautiful! A challenging pattern for a first quilt. Sometimes our ability needs to catch up with our ambition - that's my story anyway! And I think the binding you used is just perfect! It is fun to see how far we've come, isn't it? Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI've posted my first quilt on my blog too. Check it out!
