Round and Round They Go...........

VINTAGE GOODNESS.....
Oh...Oh......LOOK.......yummy SAILBOATS....

TINY blue roses encased in TINY blue hearts.....now who doesn't love that!!!
BALLOONS.......be still my heart!!!



CHECKS are my friend....especially LAVENDER!

LITTLE DUTCH PEOPLE.......YES...YES!!

These cute little rounds of fabric were in a Ziploc bag which were included in one of my wonderful 'care packages' from my friend Gail who lives in Michigan (no blog). They are MOST DEFINITELY VINTAGE! I don't know if they were cut for yo-yos or maybe for hexagons. I just thought you might enjoy seeing them. I was squealing like a little school girl when I discovered them in her package. There are more that I might share at a later date. Thank you Gail!!!

    So sweet! I love that check, and those little green flowers and... all of them!

    I just got a grab bag at a tiny thrift store and it was full of little pinked-edge squares and some vintage star blocks that need to be appliqued to a background. There are 25 of them! Most are hand sewn and they are very scrappy. I put them up on my design wall so I can enjoy all those snippets of vintagey goodness! I will probably use them in a quilt eventually, but I get a ton of enjoyment out of just touching that old fabric, thinking about the original quilter, wondering what she was thinking while she made them...

    I like the balloons! I have the dutch people in a vintage feedsack. Yours is probably feedsack or flour sack too.

    They were probably for yo yos. But don't make yo yos with them. You'll loose perspective of how great the fabric is. I vote a circle quilt. They are sooo cute!

    The 5th picture -- left hand corner, orange and yellow flowers -- that fabric is so precious to me. It's the same fabric my Nana made me and her "farm girl" dresses out of. I stayed summers with my Nana on the farm and she was only allowed to wear her "farm girl" dress when I was there to wear mine. This was mid 1960. I have a small scrap left of the fabric.

    These are great. Today I found my box of leftover denim circles. I didn't realize I had so many! I hadn't thought about it until seeing your circles, but maybe you can do a reverse denim cathedral windows.
