My santa collection seems to have out-grown my buffet. I have a few more, but I don't think there is room. Besides, I think it looks too crowded right now. What do you think? Do they need thinning out? I'm thinking about maybe putting all the vintage ones on my kitchen window seal, a little more protected there perhaps. Anyway......it's a start!
NOOOOOO
ReplyDeletea santa collection is nice, maybe I gonna start also one.
nynke
Great collection. I like them all together. Do friends and family give them to you or do you collect them on your own?
ReplyDeleteHO HO HO! Great collection.
ReplyDeleteThese are terrific! My favorites are the little red plastic ones from the 50's.. and the RABBIT SANTA! Hee-hee!
ReplyDeleteI have a Santa collection too, but mine are not as fancy as yours. I'll do a post on mine when I put them up.
ReplyDeleteNever too many.. I love them just as they are. Being all together a person can check each one out without missing some sitting somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteI like the tall funny one.
Belinda, they are all so cute. I don't think you need to thin them out at all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I very much like them all grouped together. Quite a nice collection.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love them all together - although some on a window sill would be nice too. I split my collection between the buffet and the dresser in our bedroom and I'm thinking of putting them back all in one place - on the buffet.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun collection to me! I'd say go for filling another area too.
ReplyDeleteI love your collection! Do you take them out only during the holidays or do you keep them out all year round?
ReplyDeletewhat an amazing collection of santas- so many different styles. I think they are beautiful. I'd try to display them together if I couls.
ReplyDeleteYour santas are beautiful, and I agree with others that the vintage ones are my favourites. I love the way you have them on that beautiful buffet but if you feel the need to thin them out that's a personal preference, so long as they are on display somewhere they can be seen. It would be a shame to put any of them "away". I think everybody loves santa, from one to 91 as they say.
ReplyDeleteI have a santa collection also. The grand kids started to give them to me for Christmas years ago. My kids have given me a few also. I haven't a place anywhere in my home to display them all in one spot, so they are scattered around between the dining room and the living room (no beautiful buffet).
It reminds the little ones that santas always watching because he's peeking out all over the place.*lol*
If I ever get out of the sewing room I'll get my santas out also. My Dh put up the tree last weekend, he knew I was fretting about it. What a darling. All I had to do was help put on a few pieces of tinsel.
~~Fran...:c)
I will say spacing them out would allow better view of them. They are all so cute though and you want to group them together so I'm not sure what the solution is. But you could group them into "like kinds". Love the collection.
ReplyDeletethey don't look too crowded, but I would probably put the most fragile up higher as it would be tempting to pick up and look at each one.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that you like Santas...hehehehehehe. What a wonderful collection. I think they look great together. This way family & friends can see and discuss the differences.
ReplyDeleteI love your Santa collection. It looks just right on the buffet, although to have a few lurking around the place would be amusing. Hmmm, you've given me a few ideas. And please put some Christmas music on and sing along LOUDLY. It will definitely get you in the mood (and some help from the family).
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!!
What a nice collection and they are all so different. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTeresa
What a great collection--and I love them all grouped together like that!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, way too many. Send them all to me, I have more space.
ReplyDelete;-)
they don't look crowded to me...i love them altogether. of course if they are wanting to travel...i would love guests.
ReplyDeleteWhat a jolly, colorful collection and I love them just the way they are.
ReplyDeleteHi Belinda (again) I have a little something on my blog for you.
ReplyDeleteI collect Santas too...How funny! I love your collection! They are wonderful!
