A thought hit me this afternoon "isn't there a red and white quilt top I have somewhere"?? I went right then and found it down on the bottom of a pile. I think this quilt top was done by maybe my great aunt, I'm not real sure. I ended up with it through my grandmother who is deceased or I would ask her about it. I thought it was Christmasy and wanted to post it for inspiration.............................................MERRY MERRY YA'LL!
I like most 2 color quilts, goes to show how simple can be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, fresh quilt. Are you going to finish it (one day?)
ReplyDeleteI have several old quilts that were passed on to me that I do not know the provenance of. Any other family members you can ask? What a treasure...
Merry Christmas!
What a great quilt to inherit! I've got a red and white quilt all picked out to do myself, hopefully in 2009.
ReplyDeletebeautiful Belinda. Just right for the season.

ReplyDeleteGet that fabulous quilt - quilted! It is beautiful. I love it. I'm such a fan of red and white.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out. You are a darling. Making friends is the best part of blogging. Thank you.
I really like the simplicity of a two color quilt and being red and white it has a lot of WOW power. It will look good draped over a couch or on a bed this holiday season, even if it does need some work to finish it..
ReplyDeleteYou are very fortunate to have such hand me downs from your family. We were a BIG family and I was the youngest grandchild, I didn't get diddly. All the cousins and aunts got there first. BOO-HOO,,,sniff...
~~Fran...:c)
