This is beautiful! I'd love to make a clamshell quilt - it's on my long To Do list. Keep plugging away - that's what I keep telling myself with my hand quilting projects. It is so worth the extra time.
Wow, this is really special. This is a pattern I haven't dared tackle, but I love the look. And not only are you hand quilting it, but the echo line of quilting really adds an extra zing! Great job. You should be proud. : )
Whoo hoo! This is gorgeous, B! And strangely enough, one of us must be psychic . . . just yesterday I was wondering how you were doing on this quilt. Thanks for the update!
The quilting is lovely. Did you start from the bottom and work your way up? I have always heard that quilting should be started in the middle.... I'm about to start a Baptist Fan and was trying to figure out how I could start in the middle. Maybe I don't have to? Nancy from joy for grace
This is so inspiring to see - I have a clamshell I am hand piecing - half way to finishing the top. I will keep the vision of this in my mind to keep me going. So glad you shared!!
