Feeling Better

Hello all my quilty buddies!!!  Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and kicking, but I must say I have been SICK SICK SICK!!!  Yes, I have a nasty virus I just can't seem to shake.  I thought I was on my way to shaking it until this last weekend, a slight relapse grabbed me, but it seems more manageable and less severe than it was in the last 3 weeks.

Needless to say, my house is a total wreck, laundry has piled up and Goober is missing his daily walks with  his mama.  I'm behind with you all and my email, so please forgive me until I feel in the mood to carry on with my daily routine.

I'm trying to look at the silver lining in all this, I've lost 14 lbs......YIPPEE!

So, I'll leave you with a photo of the progress I've made on my "MADE FABRIC" top I have been working on for a while.

It's slowly coming along.  I have 16 blocks so far... measuring 8 1/2" each.

  3. Terrible that you are sick, but if it means losing 14 pounds....then I may need to come over and lick your face! lol

Your made fabric quilt is outstanding! I love it! Makes me want to dig into my scraps and just start sewing! But I think your colors are more fun than mine! :o)

  5. so sorry you have been sick. you don't have that west nile virus? My husband was sick for a couple weeks but not as bad as you and he wonders if he had the virus. I read that you can get a test for it.
Your quilt looks like a piece of art work.
    Get well soon.

  11. Stay on that road to recovery now, but how great to loose 14 lbs, almost worth being ill! Your quilt is gorgeous - take care and don't overdo it on the ironing and housework, it's not worth it!!

  13. I gotta say you have me hooked on crumbs just did a huge quilt room clean up I have 3 huge gargage bins of crumbs, I sorted in light medium and dark. I want to make a (many) crumbs into fabric.

Now for that ugly virus I will let you know it will go away, but you need to rest with lots of hot fluids. Have had it, does take its time going away but then when it does you will be in a flurry to make fabric.
    Get better soon.

  28. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick. That's not any fun! OK, losing some weight helps make it a little bit better, but not much. I hope you're taking it easy and not trying to catch up on housework etc. all at one time. I hate that part when I've been sick.

LOVE love love your made fabric!! So bright and cheery! It makes me want to go play in my scraps, but mine aren't that cheery. How big of a quilt are you aiming for?
