I made a full size YoYo coverlet - took zillions it seems. I love things made with YoYos. I made it just so I could fold it and lay it on the foot of my bed - it looks so lovely there.
Now I am making YoYos again, to redo the vintage YoYo quilt I got at a thrift store - have you seen it on my blog? I am using the Clover Yo Yo maker - medium. Have you used that? It is super fun and easy. My YoYos are 1 3/4" across when finished. I have 250 pieces of fabric cut and about 35 done - a long ways to go.
Just happened upon your very entertaining blog through Sujata's blog. I thought your idea of the Kool-aid stand clever and I find it interesting that you're not buying fabric to protest the cost. Having just been to a few beautiful quilt shops in the States (on holiday), I must say that I was surprised at how quickly the price tag piled up. Guess I'll continue to buy at my local flea market with the piles of used clothes. best from Tunisia, nadia
