Black/White Quilt Finish

A view of some of the machine quilting I did.......'simple'.
More machine quilting.......'simple'.

This quilt was hard to photograph.....it wants to look more grayish than a true Black....which is what I wanted from this quilt....MORE BLACK and 'simple'.

More machine quilting and a close up of some of the wonderful fabrics my no blogger friend Gail from Michigan sent to me. She has waited patiently to see how I used them. I chose 'simple' for this Black and White Challenge quilt I signed up for last year. We had a year to complete this
challenge and I just b-a-r-e-l-y made it. Thank you Jackie for setting up this challenge AND
THANK YOU AGAIN GAIL for all these great fabrics!!!

My 'simple' B/W quilt is about lap size.

Here is a view of the pieced back.

  5. What a great quilt. I love the turquoise in the corners. Does every block have an inset in the corner? I want to do something with black and white after Christmas. Have a great holiday.

  6. Pretty spiffy quilting there--glad you are enjoying it! That's a good looking mix of black and white fabrics with that little zing of turquoise. Excellent answer to the challenge. Do you get to keep it for your very own or are you giving it away?

  9. I love how you have quilted it, too! Someday I am going to get brave and try machine quilting on my Bernina. I think I can do some of the geometric designs. (hopefully)

  16. Wow, that's really interesting how you put the white around each aqua square. Much better than just throwing the aqua in there. Pretty!
