NEXT QUILT IN LINE....

Round and Round she goes.........I finally got the borders sewn on this Chunky Churndash so I could get it ready to hand quilt. I chose to start in the very middle and quilt it around and around in circles. The biggest hold up for me was whether to space the circles 1" or 1 1/2" apart. I chose to do the 1 1/2" spacing. I think it will be ok, but if I ever hand quilt this design again I will probable go the 1"-ish. We'll just have to wait and see how is turns out when I'm finished. I brought my little hand quilting frame upstairs to my sewing room so I could sit in front of the window where the sun shining in is warm on my lil body!!..... YEAH SUN!!!

  7. Boy, I LOVE the circular quilting!! I'm going to have to figure out on which quilt of mine to do that on!

I assume you are hand quilting, not long-arm quilting - am I right?

  13. Wow - wonderful quilting - and I love the circles. How did you mark it? I think the distance between is just right - gives you the look of quilting without taking away from the design of the top. Great work!!!

  17. it looks great just like this. How big is the quilt? If it's huge, maybe start some more circles here and there and have them meet however they meet.

  21. I love the concentric circles! That's going to look so great.

Thanks for the sweet feedback on my blog, Belinda. And, yes, I am a little bossy, but only with my kids -- and when the ladies in my quilt group say things like, "Do I have to iron it?" = )

  28. What a great picture. It is framed so well with light and dar and square and round. Very artsy! I'm impressed. The quilting is perfect spacing if you ask me. I like the quilting but the open space speaks too. This is really a great quilt. Love it. I'm jealous of the hand quilting you know.
