THUNDERSTORMS!!
Hi everybody....I'm going to post this quick. We have been and are going to continue to have thunderstorms....needless to say we ALWAYS unplugg everything. That means this computer and especially my sewing machine. We have a rural electric service so there are lots of power surges during even mild showers. Can cause lots of damage to my household items. So...that is why I'm not around to post or visit in blogland. I'm cutting out a new quilt since I can't sew. Sorry.....gotta go and get things unplugged. See you soon!!!!

I grew up in Odessa and while I miss the thunder I sure don't miss the hail or tornadoes!! Well or sand storms either lol. I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and have really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteWe traveled through Texas on holiday back in the 90's and I remember booting it down the highway looking for a motel 'cause we could see (and smell)a storm coming our way. Yes you can smell a storm coming in Texas! It has a special scent, like dust and ozone all wrapped into one.
ReplyDeleteBy 5 pm we had found a motel and it was raining so hard...and the thunder and lighting was so bad I was terified. The next day we found out that a tornadoe had struck about 10 miles away. So girl you go and unplug those appliances and beat your ..sses down the basement. Get back to us when the suns shining. LOL
