NEXT QUILT IN LINE....
Round and Round she goes.........I finally got the borders sewn on this Chunky Churndash so I could get it ready to hand quilt. I chose to start in the very middle and quilt it around and around in circles. The biggest hold up for me was whether to space the circles 1" or 1 1/2" apart. I chose to do the 1 1/2" spacing. I think it will be ok, but if I ever hand quilt this design again I will probable go the 1"-ish. We'll just have to wait and see how is turns out when I'm finished. I brought my little hand quilting frame upstairs to my sewing room so I could sit in front of the window where the sun shining in is warm on my lil body!!..... YEAH SUN!!!

ReplyDeleteBoy, I LOVE the circular quilting!! I'm going to have to figure out on which quilt of mine to do that on!
ReplyDeleteI assume you are hand quilting, not long-arm quilting - am I right?
Your hand quilting is beautiful. Sitting in the sun, hand quilting, sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Belinda,
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a great quilt, but I have to say I really like the one with my name on it.
I hope to hand quilt some projects this year...

I like this quilt, very nice looking. Be sure to take a full picture when it's finished.
ReplyDeletehand quilting..wow! i love the concentric circles.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed that you are hand quilting this! Give yourself a big pat on the back from me.
ReplyDeleteWow - wonderful quilting - and I love the circles. How did you mark it? I think the distance between is just right - gives you the look of quilting without taking away from the design of the top. Great work!!!
ReplyDeleteBelinda...that is fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting really enhances the CC's. Looks really amazing!!
Beautiful work :o)

Beeeyooteeeful quilt, Belinda!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering, too...how did you mark the circles?
Oh I love circle quilting! It is going to look great!
ReplyDeleteit looks great just like this. How big is the quilt? If it's huge, maybe start some more circles here and there and have them meet however they meet.
ReplyDeleteI love it and the spacing seems perfect to me. Makes me want to hand quilt something.
ReplyDeleteStunning quilting!
ReplyDeleteSun - ha! 2 inches of the white stuff fell last night.
What a great way to quilt a quilt. I love it. Yeah, some sun would be nice in NC. Haven't seen it in days and it will probably be some more days before we see it. Your doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteI love the concentric circles! That's going to look so great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet feedback on my blog, Belinda. And, yes, I am a little bossy, but only with my kids -- and when the ladies in my quilt group say things like, "Do I have to iron it?" = )

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI love your kind of quitling and this new project. And quilting with the sun snuggling on the project and yourself sounds great.
I like your new picture behind your blogtitle :)
Wow Belinda, great job. It looks like you dropped a pebble in the middle to get all those perfect circular waves. Great job!
ReplyDeleteTake care.
I really like the circular quilting pattern. Have you marked it or are you doing it free handÉ Can`t wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilting design! I love it. I want to know how you marked it too. Chalk and a string?

What a great picture. It is framed so well with light and dar and square and round. Very artsy! I'm impressed. The quilting is perfect spacing if you ask me. I like the quilting but the open space speaks too. This is really a great quilt. Love it. I'm jealous of the hand quilting you know.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is awesome! I have done hand quilting, and it is relaxing. I use a lap frame, so I can sit in my favorite chair. Great job!
